Refund Policy
StudyLayer subscriptions are sold and billed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes cancellations, withdrawals, and refunds.
This policy does not limit any mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, refund, or consumer right that applies where you live. If local law or Paddle's terms give you greater protection, that protection applies.
1. Canceling a subscription
You may cancel at any time using the “Manage billing” option in your StudyLayer account, the subscription link in your Paddle receipt, or Paddle's buyer-support portal. Unless applicable law or Paddle's terms require otherwise, cancellation stops the next renewal and your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.
2. Refund eligibility
Except where required by law, payments are not automatically refundable. Paddle may approve full or partial refunds in accordance with its buyer terms and refund policy, including for applicable statutory withdrawal rights, material product defects, accidental or fraudulent transactions, or a discretionary request made within Paddle's stated period.
If a persistent technical problem prevents access to purchased StudyLayer features, contact us first so we can investigate. If the issue cannot be resolved, you may request a refund through Paddle and include the support history.
3. How to request a refund
- Use the receipt or subscription-management link sent by Paddle;
- visit paddle.net and choose the refund-support option; or
- email support@studylayer.ai for product troubleshooting before or alongside your Paddle request.
Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method where possible. StudyLayer does not receive complete card information and cannot send a card refund directly.
4. Effect of a refund
A refunded purchase may end the related paid entitlement. Your account may return to the Free plan and its limits. You remain able to delete your documents or account as described in our Privacy Notice.
5. Paddle policies
